2025 - A year (quarter) of massive learnings
2025 - The birth of Gibson Golf.
Chopping, changing, designing, redesigning, sampling, building and rebuilding, just some of the words used to describe trying to create a brand.
We launched in September 2025 with an Instagram page after spending 3 months testing products. For anyone who has created their own brand, you will know starting and growing something from scratch is tough. It is the unknown, it is a gamble, it is something that you lose sleep over. You overthink every post, every change on the website, every product launch, you think about pricing and how to get customers. What will the growth strategy be? How will I get my 1st customer? Will that person like the product? What if they don't, how do we deal with that? What do we launch next? What are the trends? Do we stick with the product range we have or do we grow the range? These are just a few of the many thoughts that create a nervous beginning to a new brand.
However, in 3 months we;
- Launched 4 different Cabretta Golf Gloves.
- Launched our Signature, waterproof, moisture wicking cap.
- Launched our Premium Polo Shirts, mixing a blend of Cotton, Polyester and Elastane for flexibility and comfort where it matters.
- Grew from 0 to >1,000 Instagram followers.
We are positioning the brand to be Premium without the Price tag. We believe that golf is getting more expensive at a time where the world needs to move the other way, people shouldn’t have to spend over the odds to get have the best products and best materials. The aim is the tackle this elitist sport, one step at a time.
The bottom line is Golf should be accessible and affordable.
Thank you to everybody who has followed us, visited our website, read this blog and shopped with us. Thank you for believing in us and helping us to grow this brand from nothing to the start of something, it means the world to us.
Onwards and upwards to 2026, we have huge plans in both the products and the brand to grow beyond just the typical online store, watch this space!
"Expansion Always, In All Ways"
All the best,
Thomas
